dear depression diary,

sorry for my absence, a full course load is seriously kicking my ass – but I’m determined to graduate next summer so ya girl is putting in that WERK.

I had a few minutes to spare in between assignments so I thought I’d do a quick update on my mental, physical and emotional health. first and foremost, despite feeling a teensy bit overwhelmed, school is actually going very well. I’m maintaining B’s and hope to raise at least a couple (if not all) to A’s following midterms. big A is kicking fourth grade ass and I’m so proud of him. little A is distraught she can’t go with him so I’m going through the process of getting her into a head start program so she doesn’t feel left out. she made me buy her a backpack, lunchbox and everything. she is ready y’all!

my SO and I hit our one year mark at the end of August and I’m literally so happy to say he’s officially moved in!!!! we’re still getting settled and figuring out the feng shui of things, but it’s been an experience so far and overall I’m excited for this next step in our relationship. having him here and present full time has been such a help with the little humans, especially with the course load I have this semester and honestly y’all, he just really keeps me grounded.

I can’t lie and say it hasn’t been stressful at times but the combination of all the good things happening to and around me are really getting me through it. to all the students reading this, keep fucking going! you got this 🙂 and to everyone else (plus the students), go forward with light and love
