"I openly embrace my weirdness, awkwardness and embarrassments. I am no longer ashemed to be my raw self"

as early as I can remember, I was always a little bit on the weird side. from my eclectic (hint the site name 🙂 ) to my mix-matched fashion sense, I was someone who always stood out in a crowd. throughout all the pain and trauma I’ve endured in my life, my individuality is something that rarely faltered–despite constant criticism from those closest to me.

why are your nails different colors? your patterns are clashing. why did you cut your hair that way? you shouldn’t have dyed your hair that color, it doesn’t fit you.

the few times in my life where I attempted to ‘tone it down’ and conform to the norm were some of the most miserable moments of my life. I felt incomplete, like a literal part of me was missing, and it didn’t take long to realize I was not willing to continue compromising who I was-and very much still am-to make other people happy.

my unique style and taste is what makes me, me. & I wouldn’t change who I am for anything or anyone in the world.

whether you’ve done the work or are still on your journey of self-discovery, don’t allow anyone to dictate who you are. we were not meant to be the same; our individuality and uniqueness should be celebrated and cherished. as long as the person you are puts light and love into the world-ever change.

find yourself and remain unapologetically, unashamedly, you.
